Boys Cross Country started off the competitive season strong with a victory at the annual GBN/GBS Exhibition Dual meet last Wednesday.
The Open Boys 2 mile set the tone, taking a 19-42 victory over the Spartans, led by Alex Schrauth (1st, 10:58), Mark Uskov (2nd, 10:58), and Mateo Barillas (4th, 11:25).
The Titans had 13 runners come in under 12 minutes, an enormous increase from the same meet last year in which only two runners came in under that mark.
The Titans kept rolling in the Varsity 4 mile relay, in which the boys and girls teams partnered up to each run alternating miles. GBS took the event by a score of 24-32, led by Frankie Hackl (5:00 average pace), Junior Lopez (4:57 average pace), and Ryan Taylor (5:03 average pace).
