The Titans wrapped up their historical season with a 15th place finish and a new school record at the IHSA 3A state meet at Detweiller park. The boys pulled their average 3 mile time down to a 15:06 which makes them the fastest team in school history by an unbelievable 20 seconds!
The Titans were led by Junior Lopez’s 10th place All State finish with the GBS record of 14:21. Frankie Hackl and Jack Lyons followed behind with sub 15 performances, 14:53 and 14:59 respectively. Making them the 2nd and 4th fastest GBS juniors of all time. After a gruesome trip at the beginning of the race, Ryan Taylor got right back up and finished with a 15:42. Freshman Mark Uskov finished his fantastic freshman season with a 16:07 after battling a small sickness the days before. Owen Cummings followed right behind with a 16:09. Lastly, Owen Wu finished it for the Titans with a 16:29.
This season, the Titans had 5 sub-16 runners, 3 sub-15 runners, and 4 runners in the top 25 of all time. This is just a sample of the success the Titans have achieved this year!
Congratulations on an amazing and record breaking season Titans!
